This illustration was created for the May 2024 illustration on my Patreon. It is simply called 'Mother' as the figure depicted is not one specific goddess, but a personification of the primordial maternal deity all Ancient Mediterranean mother goddesses seem to have sprung from. I was inspired to create this piece after visiting Sicily and learning more about the mystical history of its landscape and civilisations.
