This illustration is of the goddess Artemis as she appears in Bahr’s ongoing book series, ‘The Maiden of Artemis’.

This scene is of the goddess approaching the viewer in moonlight, the same way she appears before the series’ main character. Behind her is the Cerynitian Hind, Artemis’ pet stag from myth, which also features in the series.
